Services

The Online Library provides a number of services to support your individual information needs. Each programme has an individual gateway. This will enable you to go directly to resources that are relevant to your course, thereby saving you time. For example subject specific law resources can be found at www.external.shl.lon.ac.uk/res/subjects/?subj=law and the Primary Health Care resources at www.external.shl.lon.ac.uk/res/subjects/?id=phc.

Enquiry Service

Students and staff can submit enquiries to the Online Library by:

• Telephone: +44 (0) 20 7862 8478 between 9am - 5pm Mon – Fri, GMT. Messages can also be left on the Voicemail and will be answered within two working days.
• E-mail Enquiries can be submitted via email to: OnlineLibrary@shl.lon.ac.uk or by filling in the online enquiry forms. Feedback will be given within a period of 48 hours except on weekends and UK Bank Holidays. Please include all necessary details e.g. student number, full name, qualification name and a clear statement of need.

Guides and tutorials are provided to help you use resources and develop information skills.

• The Information Skills section contains guides and tutorials to help students use resources and develop information skills.
• The Online Library Tour is available to help students find their way around.
• Quick Start Guides have been produced for each of the databases we subscribe to.
